Privacy Policy
Last updated August 30, 2026
This policy explains what information robertjbrandt.com collects, why, and what happens to it. The site is a small promotional site for the book When It Matters Most and for Robert Brandt’s speaking work. It is a static website with no user accounts and no online payments.
Information collected
The site does not use analytics software, advertising, or tracking cookies, and it loads no third-party scripts.
Information is only collected when you choose to send it:
- Contact form: your name, email address, chosen subject, and message. This is submitted to Formspree, which forwards it by email to Robert Brandt so he can reply.
- Newsletter signup (when available): your email address, submitted to the email service that sends the newsletter, so that you can receive it.
- Hosting logs: Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the site, automatically processes technical request data such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, and may set strictly necessary cookies for security and performance. This is standard web-hosting activity.
How the information is used
Contact form submissions are used only to read and respond to your message and to keep a record of correspondence.
Newsletter email addresses are used only to send the newsletter, and only for as long as you stay subscribed.
Hosting logs are used to operate the site, diagnose problems, and defend against abuse.
Your information is never sold, rented, or shared for advertising.
Third-party services
The site relies on a small number of service providers, each with its own privacy policy:
- Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery, and security).
- Formspree (contact-form processing and delivery).
- An email newsletter provider (only if and when the newsletter is switched on).
- Links to external sites such as Amazon are provided for convenience; those sites handle your data under their own policies.
Data retention
Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to respond and to maintain reasonable business records, then deleted.
Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do at any time using the link in any newsletter email.
Your choices
You can ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Send the request through the contact form.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
Children
This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
